I am a native of the Southeast having been born in Memphis, TN and raised in Georgia. I graduated from George Southern University in 1977 with a bachelor of Science in Art Education. I returned to school in 1982 for a radiologic science degree (xray technology) and I have been working in imaging ever since.

I visited Taos in the 70's when I stayed at Ghost Ranch with a friend. I fell in love with the big sky, endless horizon and rocky multicolored landscape. I moved to Taos in 2003 and throughly enjoy the uniqueness of this area. I live in an earthship with a view of Taos Mountain from my glass studio. I cannot imagine being anywhere else.

I have been involved with art most of my life. My grandmother was a kindergarten teacher and she created costumes, stuffed animals and crocheted jewelry. I followed her example in having my main interest in tactile arts - ceramics, weaving, jewelry and dollmaking. I started my work in stained glass in 1990 in Colorado. I currently create stained glass horseshoe art. My crosses are made by welding five horseshoes together. I create patterns with brilliant color and texture to contrast with the roughness of the horseshoes. I prefer used shoes to give the crosses a rustic appearance. Copper foil and solder holds the glass in place. I also make single horseshoe suncatchers. All of my pieces can be hung outside if desired. I welcome custom orders.
